Baroque for three blocks
Italian Early Baroque
Kajsa Dahlbäck, soprano
The cancellation of the Wonderfeel performance during the Helsinki Festival was, of course, a great pity. However, the programme planned for the festival will be heard in a concert, where the listeners will be seated in three blocks in the Musiikkitalo concert hall.
The concert programme takes you to Italy and its early baroque era. Claudio Monteverdi (1567-1643) hardly needs any presentation. We will hear, among other things, his well-known toccata & La Musica's prologue from the opera L’Orfeo (1607). There are as many as three female composers in the program: Leonora Duarte (1601-1678), Isabella Leonarda (1620-1704) and Barbara Strozzi (1619-1677), the latter of whom has a cantata Hor che Apollo from 1644 selected for the program.
Length 1 h (no intermission)
The audience is placed in blocks determined by AVI. Each block has its own entrances, sanitary facilities and foyer areas. The lobby staff guides the audience to their seats. There is a free seating system within the blocks, but there must be a safety distance of two meters between groups.
The audience should use the following entrances:
K-block through the outdoor terrace on the Kansalaistori side
N-block from the main door of Mannerheimintie
R-block from the door of Kansalaistori.
Note! It is not possible to arrive at the concert via Aimo Park Finlandia!
Catering before the concert must be ordered in advance via the online store: restis.app/musiikkitalo. Please indicate the block letter in the order details.
