Elements in Harmony – The Finnish Baroque Orchestra in Concert
Wind, Earth, Water, Fire – the ancient elements come alive in a vibrant programme of Baroque masterpieces performed by the Finnish Baroque Orchestra. From the graceful winds of J.S. Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 2 to the earthy sonorities of Vivaldi’s bassoon concerto and stately dances from Bach’s First Suite, nature’s forces unfold in sound. After intermission, Telemann’s striking Hamburger Ebb und Fluth paints the ever-shifting tides in celebration of Neptune, god of the sea. The concert culminates in fiery brilliance with Bach’s dazzling Violin Concerto in E major. Featuring soloists drawn from within the orchestra, this richly varied programme highlights the expressive power and elemental energy of Baroque music. Join us for an evening where nature, myth, and music meet. |
