The Finnish Baroque Orchestra (FiBO) has appointed Veera Paasi as its new Executive Manager. She joins the orchestra from her current position as Executive Manager of Espoon musiikkifestivaalit ry and will begin her new role in August 2026.

Paasi is an experienced arts administrator, event producer, musician, and holds a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration. FiBO’s current Executive Manager, Laura Kajander, will continue her work with the orchestra as Development Manager.

Over the past decade, the Finnish Baroque Orchestra has grown into a vibrant cultural community whose music is heard in concert halls, schools, and a wide range of other venues both in Finland and internationally. The orchestra’s activities and finances have expanded significantly, enabling an ever-growing audience to experience and engage with baroque music through FiBO.

“I am truly excited about this opportunity. FiBO is a wonderful orchestra that enjoys a strong international reputation and carries out exceptional and valuable work in many ways. I look forward to further developing the orchestra’s activities, visibility, and standing”, says Paasi.

At the heart of the orchestra are its outstanding musicians, a commitment to preserving the baroque music tradition in a modern environment, and an active approach to audience engagement. Music performed by FiBO can be heard at hundreds of events each year.

“From the perspective of the orchestra, its musicians, and its audiences, we are at a fortunate turning point. We are able to retain the expertise that has driven our growth while looking confidently toward the future as Veera develops the orchestra and its activities to reach even greater popularity. I would therefore like to sincerely thank Laura and warmly welcome Veera to the world of the finest music”, says Lasse Pipinen, Chair of the Board of the Finnish Baroque Orchestra.
