Monteverdi at the National Opera

 

Sieluttaret, performed at the Almi Hall of the Finnish National Opera from October 8–10, is based on Claudio Monteverdi’s works Il ballo delle ingrate and L’Arianna. The piece combines contemporary puppet theatre, electronic sound design, and Baroque imagery. Performers include Tuuli Lindeberg, Erica Back, Jakob Bloch Jespersen, as well as puppeteers Karoliina Illi, Eve Mäkitalo, and Tella Vahala. Read more here.
