The theme of Aino Peltomaa’s programme Flos is Arctic endangered flowers. The ensemble combines flower themed medieval melodies with their own compositions as well as folk songs in an inventive way, while expanding the soundscape with electronic effects. We get to hear Bridgettine chants as well as profound and virtuosic melodies by the medieval mystic Hildegard von Bingen, runo songs, spells, own compositions and fast improvisation.
