FiBO Collegium arranges customised Baroque music courses and projects for music institutes around Finland. The projects can be designed for established ensembles in the music institutes, for instance chamber music ensembles, orchestras and choirs, or everyone from the music institute can join together in one grand orchestra.
In FiBO Collegium’s Baroque projects everyone gets to play together, regardless of which instrument they play or how experienced they are. There are many leaders present, which ensures that everyone can be instructed by a specialist in their own instrument, and everyone has the possibility to be influenced by the professional playing next to them. The concerts can also be livened up with dance, drama or other forms of art.
Apart from rehearsing the concert program, the projects also introduce Baroque performance practices in general. Students in music institutes play quite a lot of compositions from the Baroque era, so the yields of the projects are continually sought-after.
